Generally a computer hardware consist of three major components.

1. Central Processing Unit (CPU): This is the brains of the computer. Computations and processing take place on this unit.
Sometimes they refer to this unit as the central processor, or just processor.
2. Monitor: This is the visual display unit that user sees what is being typed and what is being displayed.
3. Keyboard: This is an Input devise that enables users to enteract with the computer.
Peripherals: These are devices that may be connected to a computer (wired or wireless) to extend computer’s capabilities. These devices are usually act as input or output devices. Printers, scanners, Speakers, CD/DVD drives are examples of peripheral devices.
